Let me explain the crests: in my country (Portugal) Mimi has the crest of Innocence and Jou has Sincerity (Adventure) and Loyalty (Zero Two). I don't exactly follow my country's dub because I grew up with the japanese raws I found online, but I decided to follow it here.

In Japan
1) Mimi has the "Junshin no monshou (純真の紋章 ) - crest of Purity
2) Jou has the "Seijitsu no monshou" (誠実の紋章 ) - crest of Loyalty/ Sincerity/ Reliability/ Honestly. Jou's crest is actually hard to translate in other languages.

I'm aware the U.S. version has different names for the crests, but I don't have reasons to follow it. I've watched this version once and I dislike the general changes of it. I'm sorry.

I hope this clear things up.

Out of all the crests, I think I preferred Tai's Crest of Courage. While the orange scheme represented his courage and sometimes hot blooded recklessness, the symbol also represented the sun and the element of fire. Which is evident in Tai's digimon partner Agumon especially when he digivolves to Greymon or War Greymon.

:D I love the symbology of this symbol the most; not only it's related to my favourite element fire, the Sun is also an old symbol for leadership. (and I'm way too obsessed about this haha)

Given that the Sun is also related to the Zodiac Astrology, that may in fact hint at Tai being a Leo. He may have been reckless and hot-blooded, he ultimately was a very loyal friend to his teammates and had the courage neccesary as a leader. Even if sometimes the choices and actions he took didn't always sit lightly with his friends particularly Matt. But because of an incident when he was younger in which his sister Kari nearly died of Pneumonia, he always finds himself in need to help others even his actions speak much louder than his words.

Isn't Joe's crest supposed to be reliability?

Amazing! I always wondered why Mimi's crest was changed though. It made no sense to me, but oh well.

Straight to Favorites! :D

Germany used reliability for Jou, which is "Zuverlässigkeit" in German. I always found that... weird :D It's such a long and strange word compared to the other crests.
As for Mimi, she had "Aufrichtigkeit" which I guess is equal to sincerity... Purity surprises me though, I always thought Hikari's "light" was a symbol for purity and innocence :hmm:
